Luu Co

Luu Co is one of the founding fathers of the Dinh dynasty, having merit to help Dinh Tien Hoang defeat and end the rebellion of 12 warlords in the 10th century in Hoa Lu near Tam Coc Ninh Binh, and also the ruler of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long. The repair work turned it south before King Ly Thai To moved the capital from Hoa Lu here. In 968, Dinh Bo Linh finished defeating the warlords and ascended the throne. Political history as well as folk poetry often refer to the “Four Pillars of Bac, Dien, Co, Tu” meaning the four pillars of the Dinh dynasty, namely Nguyen Bac, Dinh Dien, Luu Co and Trinh Tu. The four pillars were the core to help King Dinh defeat the army and unify the country  near Tam Coc Ninh Binh. Domistress Luu Co is also considered the first person in Vietnamese history to hold legal rights.
