In the famous landscapes near Tam Coc Ninh Binh, Duc Thuy Son (Non Nuoc Mountain) occupies a special position. Located at the confluence of Van and Day rivers, Duc Thuy Son is an outpost located at the eastern gateway of the city. Standing on the mountain, visitors can admire the panoramic view of Ngoc My Nhan Mountain (Canh Dieu Mountain) not far away or have a panoramic view of a part of Ninh Binh city center.

The way to the top of Duc Thuy Son near Tam Coc Ninh Binh is relatively flat, including 72 stone steps, divided into 5 levels. On the east side of the mountain, there is the ancient Non Nuoc pagoda built during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong, and at the foot of the mountain is the temple to worship the famous scholar Truong Han Sieu of the Tran dynasty. All combine to form a cultural and spiritual area of temples, pagodas, monuments, rivers and mountains in the heart of the city.

Once known as “the sea gate with young fairy”, Duc Thuy Son near Tam Coc Ninh Binh has long been an attractive subject of poetry. On the mountain, there are still many poems of famous artists through dynasties: Tran Anh Tong, Pham Su Manh, Truong Han Sieu, Nguyen Trai, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Huy Ich, Cao Ba Quat, Nguyen Khuyen…
